Mustang Trekking (Lodge Trekking)
Mustang is a fascinating trekking region. Since the government of Nepal opened this solitary region in October 1991, it is possible to travel to Mustang. To protect the nature and preserve the unique culture of the locals only a limited number of tourists are allowed to travel in the upper Mustang. Therefor you need a special trekking permit. If you are on tour you will have a magnificent view on the Nilgiri, the Annapurna, the Dhaulagiri and many other high mountains. This trip allows you to see a part of Nepal where the mass tourism has not found its way yet. The bleak plateau is mostly inhabited by people with Tibetan routs. On your way you will come across the Buddhist lifestyle and traditions. Monasteries, Stupas and praying walls line the way.
